Growing up watching Ninja Turtles, Sailor Moon, Power Rangers, and X-Men, there was a desire to be like the superheroes on TV: Superman, Batman, and Spiderman. They were saving the world and as a kid, I dreamed of becoming one. They are powerful, strong, and do heroic deeds. But it's not so much their superpowers that people lust after. Superheroes are symbols for something deeper. Superheroes represent a force for good. When there are people in need, they will be there to help, no matter who they are. And so I grew up trying to find my inner superhero.

Most superheroes were not born superheroes; they became superheroes.

Today we can acquire our superhero powers without spider bites, alien rings or gamma radiation treatments. But through lines of code, through while loops and if statements. Through 1's and 0's. Through the very power at our fingertips.

Today, I ask you to stand with me and join my mission -  to enable others to embrace uncertainty since there is no linear path to success. To create their own path, their own opportunities, and their own success.
